This is an art-focused blog where I post art-related stories, events and people that I love or find interesting. An art history major myself, I found it a great idea to start accumulating readable news about the art world that is also appealing to the everyday art lover. I'm not a hundred percent sure about what I'm going to post about, but I hope it will be an enjoyable reading experience for you. Essentially, I'm thinking about some quirky artists with the least populated market, but the most inspiring and rare work. That is something I am leaning on at the moment of creating this blog. But who knows what's going to happen? Maybe I will blog about Pollock, Weiwei Ai, or even Da Vinci! It's a mystery to myself as to what I will choose, based on how erratic I've been in my choices of almost everything in life in the past. So let's wait and see.
For now, I want to explain why the name Picnic in the Sky is chosen as the title of this blog. I want to say that it's simply because I really like the impossible combination of these words. How can you have a picnic in the sky? That's simply a dream! Yes, that's how I envisioned my blog to be, an unrealistic little space to draw and paint the most unworldly stories ever told - within the world of art. I hope that serves the purpose well.
